Gizzi, Capaldi, connection from San Giuseppe

I am continuing to search my family links with Picinisco and in particular the village of San Giuseppe. I wish to find a link between my ancestors Santé Capaldi my Gr Grandfather and the Gizzi family.

Domenico Gizzi was, I believe, a cousin of my grandfather Achille Capaldi but I cannot find the link.

I have the following information:

Domenico’s father was Sante Gizzi.

Domenico Gizzi married Maria Pesce circa 1928 in San Giuseppe. Maria was his second wife.

Domenico’s first wife, Anne Estero, whom he married in Glasgow in 1926 unfortunately died only months after the marriage.

Domenico had two brothers Lorenzo and Giuseppe and one sister Anunziata.

Any information would be extremely helpful

Hello Stuart,

I found some information about Domenico GIZZI. But I can't find his birth at Picinisco or its sister Annunziata. Do you know where they were born or have you dates?

Decidedly we have no chance, I am currently at Picinisco, I arrived last night. I repars October 11. We do not have the chance to meet us. We should someday arrange our dates of stay to finally meet.

Some further information

Annunziata Gizzi b 1887 d 1962 (Glasgow) Father Sante Gizzi mother Caterina Valente.

Domenico Gizzi b 1890

He worked and lived in Germany before coming to Scotland.

Could they have been born in Villa Latina as Valente is a Villa Latina name?

Sorry we are unable to meet on my visit in October. I am planning to visit in 2010 possibly the end of August beginning of September we may be able to meet then.
